Fall break is scheduled October 19th-October 23rd. With this upcoming vacation, we understand many families have out of state or out of country travel plans. Please be advised that Mexico recently received a Level 3 COVID-19 warning from the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC). If you have plans to travel out of state or country, remember to continue to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), social distance, and wash/sanitize your hands frequently to help protect yourself and others against the virus.
Although neither the U.S. or Indiana Health Department have issued quarantine or stay at home orders for returning travelers, if you become a close contact for someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you will need to quarantine upon your return to Cass County.
If you have any questions, please contact your child's school nurse to determine the extent of quarantine time if needed.
As always, everyone is to self-screen before coming to work or school. If someone in your household is symptomatic and has a pending COVID-19 test, you should not return to work or school until the test results have been received. You should stay home if you have any of the following symptoms:
• Temperature 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher when taken by mouth
• Sore throat
• New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (for students with chronic allergic/ asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline)
• Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
• New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever
• Loss of taste or smell
